Central Gardens Information
Central Gardens is an upscale neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee. The
neighborhood was generally developed between 1910 and 1930 and is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. The housing stock consists mostly of well
kept bungalows and foursquares, though there are a few apartments. Until the
early 2000s, the Memphis public library was located in Central Gardens, which is
bounded by York on the south, Eastmoreland on the north, Rembert on the east and
Cleveland on the west.
